Full-Steam into Your Vacation

I hate to publicly admit this, but I used to hate trains… that was until I finally faced my fear and rode one.

After the initial shock of panic and regret realizing there is literally nowhere for me to go but to my destination, I realized that trains are so underrated (I was partly to blame). Not only is the method of train-traveling significantly less stressful than that of driving or traveling by air, but you literally see beautiful views for most of your train ride. Most train tracks are located where cars can not go and where trains are too high to see, so you end up riding closely to rivers, through the trees and just elevated enough that you get to take in the fullness of the view instead of squinting to see them.

Did I mention smooth sailing? There is no turbulence - only the presence of switching over train tracks every now and then, but even then, a smooth ride.

Don’t forget the luxury aspect to trains. You are being served well throughout your trip and there are accommodations for overnight travel, along with inclusive meals. Some train routes stop a few days in desired areas, such as Venice, Switzerland and various other locations both domestically and internationally, and resume the trip, ensuring ample visits to popular areas. For this reasons, you can “see more for your money” with train-travel without sacrificing luxury, comfort and experience.

Train travel is a unique and memorable way to explore the world, with scenic routes and charming vintage cars that transport you to another time and place. If you're interested in planning a train journey but aren't sure where to start, I'm here to help. After my personal experience, train-traveling may be one of my top ways to travel now and I’m sure it will wiggle its way towards the top for you too.
